HOW TO PLAY BACCARAT?
What is Baccarat?
Baccarat is a card game that is often played in casinos and can also be found on online gambling platforms powered by software providers such as 568win. The game is played between two hands, the player and the banker, and the objective is to bet on which hand will have a higher score. In Baccarat, the cards are assigned point values, and the hand that is closest to nine points wins.
How to calculate points of baccarat?
In Baccarat, each card has a point value. The numbered cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, while the Ace is worth one point, and the 10s and face cards (Jack, Queen, and King) are worth zero points. The point value of a hand is determined by adding up the point values of each card in the hand, and then dropping the tens digit. For example, a hand consisting of a 7 and an 8 would have a total point value of 5, because the sum of 7 and 8 is 15, and dropping the tens digit leaves a total of 5.
Here is an example of how to calculate the point values for each hand:
Player's hand: | 6 of Hearts + Ace of Spades = 7 points (6 + 1 = 7) |
---|---|
Banker's hand: | 9 of Diamonds + 3 of Clubs = 2 points (9 + 3 = 12, drop the tens digit) |
Most online Baccarat games, including those powered by 568win, use multiple decks to increase the difficulty of the game and make it more challenging for players to predict the outcome. Typically, online Baccarat games use six to eight decks of cards, which are shuffled together before each round to ensure fairness and randomness in the game.
What is commission, non-commission baccarat?
There are two main types of Baccarat: commission Baccarat and non-commission Baccarat. In commission Baccarat, a 5% commission is taken from all winning banker bets. In non-commission Baccarat, there is no commission, but winning banker bets pay out at even money minus a 5% fee if the banker wins with a score of six.
What is the game process?
To begin, the dealer will shuffle the decks of cards and then deal two cards to the player and two cards to the banker. If either the player or banker has a score of eight or nine with their initial two cards, the game is over and the hand with the highest score wins. If neither hand has a score of eight or nine, then the game continues.
If the player has a score of five or less, they can choose to take another card. If the player stands, then the banker will take another card if their score is five or less. If the player takes a third card, the banker will follow specific rules depending on their score and the player's third card. The banker may also choose to take a third card depending on their score and the player's third card.
Player's Third Card Rule:
Player's score | Player's Action |
---|---|
0-5 | Draw a third card |
6-7 | Stand |
8-9 | Natural hand, no more cards drawn |
Banker's Third Card Rule:
Banker's Hand | Player's Third Card | Banker's Action (unless the banker's total is a natural 8 or 9) |
---|---|---|
0-2 | Any | Draw a third card |
3 | 0-7 | Draw a third card |
4 | 2-7 | Draw a third card |
5 | 4-7 | Draw a third card |
6 | 6-7 | Draw a third card |
7 | Stand | No more cards drawn |
8-9 | Natural hand, no more cards drawn |
